Hayley Jackson (Patuxent, 2017)

The state's most dominant runner with her only loss of the season coming on tired legs as part of a state meet triple in the 800 to Mountain Ridge's Molly Offsein, Hayley Jackson had another banner season establishing herself as one of Maryland's elite athletes. Jackson won major mile/1600 meter races at the Montgomery Invite and Virginia Tech Invitational including a sub 5 mile win against Foot Locker finalist Maria Coffin at the Moco Invite. She had another one of the state's best in Brit Lang to deal with her at her regional and state meet, but was able to win the 1600 decisively in both races.

Haley Wright (Boonsboro, 2016)

The Boonsboro senior Haley Wright went undefeated at the 1600 meter distance indoors including a handful of sub 5:10 performances despite rarely having great competition to push her in most of her races this season including a distance triple of state titles in the 1A State Meet. The University of Alabama commit Wright topped out with a 5:06 season best and will be looking for sub 5 minute times come spring time.

3rd Team Selection

Brit Lang (Oakland Mills, 2016)

The second state title may have still eluded Brit Lang this indoor season, but the Oakland Mills senior showcased impressive range and was a consistent top performer in the state. She was a state runner-up in not only the 1600, but 500 as well in 2A. She ran her season best 1600 meter time of 5:04.52 in a runner-up finish to Hayley Jackson and ran a 5:07 full mile earlier in the season at the New York Armory for the Hispanic Games.
