Brit Lang's Senior Highlight Reel

WATCH: Top 5 Brit Lang Races of Senior Year

Brit Lang had been running with the Howard County Striders long before she began running at Oakland Mills with her coach/father at Oakland Mills. That year she won her first state title at the 2A Cross Country State Championships. Over the next few years she would continue to improve on her personal bests both on the course and the track, becoming one of the top distance runners in Maryland by the end of her junior season. However, she was still missing that elusive second state title.

She enjoyed a fantastic senior cross country season during which she finished first or second at every meet in the state of Maryland. After a runner-up finish to Patuxent's Hayley Jackson at the 2A State Championships she traveled to the Foot Locker Northeast Regionals in New York City, where she ran one of the best races of her career in a 16th-place effort in the championship race. She developed her range during the indoor season, even dropping below 80 seconds in the 500 at the state championships. In the outdoor season, she competed in the 3000 at the Penn Relays and set a new Howard County record in the 3200. When she stepped on the track for the state championships 3200 in one of her last chances to capture a second state title, she did not disappoint, winning with a time of 10:48.41. Her 3200 at the HoCo Championships places her ninth on Maryland's leaderboard dating back to roughly 2000.

Before she begins her collegiate career at North Florida, take a look at the top five races of Brit Lang's senior season!
