Tuesday's Harford County Championships featured a boys team race for the ages. The Bel Air boys captured three of the top four spots in the race, led by junior Kieran McDermott, but fell a few points shy of a team title. C.M. Wright edged both Bel Air (3rd, 50 points) and Fallston (2nd, 49 points) to win the team title with 47 points.

On the girls' side, C.M. Wright freshman Haley Cummins broke away for a huge win, completing the 3-mile course in a personal-best 18:50.20.  She finished more than a minute ahead of the next runner, Edgewood's Rachel Goldsborough. The Wright girls would have a much easier time than their boys in capturing the team title.

Over at the Cecil County Championships, the Bohemia Manor boys dominated, occupying the top four spots on the way to the team title. Led by junior Grant Franceschina the Bohemia Manor boys will be one of the top teams at this year's 1A state championships along with Southern Garrett and Boonsboro, among others.

As for the girls, Rising Sun senior Arianna Wheeler outdueled a pair of Bohemia Manor girls for the title in 22:01.15. The Rising Sun girls also captured the 4-8 spots to secure an easy team victory.
