Boys 55 Dash

Two of the boys entered in Saturday's 55 meter dash have already clocked sub-6.50 times this season and there's a good chance that a few more will join that list by the time everything is said and done. Westlake's Will Moten ran 6.43 twice already in December, including his win at the Ed Bowie Classic. The eight-time state champion will have 6.40 set in his sights against some top competition on Saturday.
One of Moten's top challengers will be Wilde Lake's Christian Saulsbury. The senior has yet to lose a 55 meter dash this season, and his 6.47 at the Howard County Winterfest ties him for fifth in Maryland in the event. After his 3A rival William Henderson dropped a US #1 6.32 last week he'll have some added motivation on Saturday.
Bullis' Bryce Watson is only the second-fastest boy on Bullis' loaded sprint team - but still seventh in the state so far this winter. Without Eric Allen on Saturday Watson could seize the opportunity to move ahead of his outstanding teammate on the Maryland leaderboard.
