Dalton Hengst (Junior, McDonogh)

Still only a junior, Hengst now has a claim as Maryland's fastest-ever indoor miler. He was a bit quiet to start the season coming off of Foot Locker Cross Country Nationals, but truly broke out with an 8:28.51 3000 at the Yale Track Classic. He then went back to his staple, the mile, and ran 4:08 twice (first at the Millrose Games, and then again at New Balance Indoor Nationals). After running 4:10 as a sophomore last year he continues to show improvement and could possibly work his way down to 4:05 this spring.
