Team VA's Weekend Performance Lists & Previews

It is going to be a huge weekend for VA considering everyone is on break. Check out the brave meets hosting meets this weekend and check out also who is competing at these meets. 


Bullis Invite 

@The Bullis School in Potomac, MD

The lowdown: This meet is raising the bar for meets this year. Despite being on arguably the worst weekend of the year, this meet could be the largest meet this April in the entire US. Expect some awesome coverage from this meet but most importantly expect some huge performances as well. 


Gloucester Invitational 

@Gloucester HS

The lowdown: Apparently some teams just can't get enough track. Despite being the day before Easter all the way down at Gloucester HS, even RVA teams are heading down to this one. This meet will be a nice mixture of huge performances and solid performances in "off-events" as some athletes and teams gear up for state qualifying but also just seeing where they are at in certain events as well. This will be the biggest meet in VA this weekend and will have Mary Ann Magnant's awesome camera lens capturing those performances. 



Amherst Invitational

@Amherst HS

The lowdown: This meet will serve as a great preview for some of the 3A and 4A regional battles to come this season. Just like the other meets, this meet is going to feel the pressure of Easter weekend but still got decent numbers. Fewer meets means fewer options and that could help this meet get some great performances. 


Massaponax Panther Invitational 

@Massaponax HS

The lowdown: This first year invitational will have a small field but with major meets just around the corner you can definitely expect a breakout performance or two from athletes very able of taking home state titles this spring.
