Both Nyjari McNeil of Franklin and Riley Middletown of Franklin won elite post-season 800 meter races last night at the Pennsylvania Distance Festival with state leading times. McNeil won the girls 800 in a US #5 time of 2:07.34 over Gabrielle Wilkinson (2:07.34) of Friends Central (PA).
Meanwhile, Middletown junior Riley McDermott won the boys 800 with a new personal best and US top 40 performance of 1:51.29.
Another big Maryland performance and winner came in the boys 5K with Southern Garrett's Declan Horner rolling to a 15:22 performance in the 12 1/2 laps event.
In the girls 1500, Samantha Facius of Mount De Sales Academy and Reilly Caldwell of Middletown rolled with times of 4:36 and 4:42.
