Sunday, July 16:

OFF.

Monday, July 17:

I started my day with a 40 minute run around my neighborhood at eight minute pace. Afterwards I did six strides at 15 seconds on and 45 seconds off. To get a full six miles in I ran another five minutes at a slower pace. For conditioning I completed a core routine and then did some work with medicine balls.

Tuesday, July 18:

Today my teammates and I went to Daniels trail to run. The trail is shaded and follows the river for a few miles. We ran about 20 minutes out and back for a total of 40 minutes. Our pace was around eight minutes. Later I did some core and plank exercises at home.

Wednesday, July 19:

This morning I ran for about 44 minutes at 8:30 pace. I ran a loop around the lake and through some neighborhoods to get in a full five miles. Afterwards I did some squats, lunges and some rope stretching.

Thursday, July 20:

Today I ran 40 minutes at 8:40 pace; I tried to keep my pace slower and more consistent today. I did six hill strides after my run (15 seconds on and 45 seconds off) and then got in core, planks and some push-ups.

Friday, July 21:

Typically I ran at 7:30 in the morning but my teammates and I decided to run at 6:00 before it got too hot. We ran for about 45 minutes at 8:20 pace. Afterwards I did squats, push-ups and core work.

Saturday, July 22:

My long run was today so I got up early and ran for 66 minutes at 8:20 pace to get in around eight miles. I felt really good even with this week's increased mileage. Later I did a core workout and hip strengthening.

Weekly Total: 35 miles
