July 3rd: I did an easy run around one of my favorite loops, through Maple Lawn to Hammond Middle School and back to my house. I added some miles onto the original loop by taking some different roads while I was in Maple Lawn and ended up running 11.12 miles in 1:18:27 (about 7:03 pace). This was a pretty comfortable run.

July 4th: Today I ran along the trail that starts at the BWI observation landing with my dad who biked along with me. I only needed to hit nine miles today so I didn't finish the entire path but my dad and I just walked the rest of the way back to the car. I had to do a fartlek today but that wasn't a problem. The rolling hills made it hard to stay consistent and too comfortable but I still felt in control for the most part. I ran 9.07 miles in 1:03:53 (7:03 average pace).

July 5th: Today I held practice at the school. I ran with two of my teammates, Ryan and Al, and we got eight miles in. We went out towards "Trump Towers" again. I wanted to run relaxed and the pace was perfect for the heat and humidity. We ran 7:43 pace for a total time of 1:01:46.

July 6th: Today I met up with Jonathan Sussman at Lake Elkhorn. We're pretty cool and had been trying to run with each other for the past year and we finally got in a run. We only meant to run seven miles but after we left the lake and went to turn around, we made a wrong turn and ended up near Oakland Mills. We wound up getting in 8.5 miles in 1:02:50 (7:26 pace).

July 7th: Today I ran with Rahul and Jonathan at Centennial Lake. We did three loops around the lake and just caught up a bit. It was a good run and the miles just flew by. They only needed to get in seven miles so I just tacked on another mile by myself when they left. In total I got 8.55 miles in 1:02:31 (7:18 average pace).

July 8th: Today I ran with Rogers and one of Reservoir's alumni at Wincopin Park. We ran twelve miles in 1:28:42 for an average of 7:23. The last 0.75 miles picked up A LOT. By the end we were unintentionally running 5:45. Even though the pick-up was short I still felt great which was a good sign to me.

Weekly mileage: 57.24 miles
