Sophomore Boys: Nicholas Karayianis, Winston Churchill

Last year's champion of the freshman race will be back to try and defend his class of 2020 title on Saturday. Karayianis' 17:30 season best ranks just 25th among sophomores in Maryland so far this season, but that came at the Oatlands Invitational last weekend in not-ideal conditions. Karayianis ran 19 seconds faster than the top sophomore (time-wise) of all Maryland teams heading into Saturday, Whitman's Benjamin Lesser.
