Montgomery County Championships - Boys 1600
The Montgomery County Championships featured storylines and noteworthy performances abound, but one race captured the attention of the entire state. Richard Montgomery freshman Garrett Suhr was going up against 3A cross country state champion Ryan Lockett and never let him go, eventually chasing him down on the home stretch and out-leaning him at the finish line. Suhr would go on to win the freshman mile at New Balance Indoor Nationals.
