An unfortunate DQ in the 100 at the 2A North Regionals meant that New Town senior Jordan Cofield - last year's 2A state champion in the event - will only have a shot at the 200 state record this season, along with teammate Brandon James. The two are the only teammates in the state of Maryland who rank in the top ten in the state in the event (they are currently sitting at fourth and sixth, respectively).
