Urbana's Brin Strouse finished in fourth place at the Frank Keyser Invitational last weekend. She clocked a personal best 18:01 on the three-mile course at Boonsboro High School, narrowly missing out on joining Anna Coffin and Kamryn Eveleth in the sub-18 three mile ranks. Strouse will get another shot this Friday at the Central Maryland Conference Championships. (Photo by Craig Amoss)

This year the CMC Championships will have a new look. Last season the Central Maryland Conference consisted of only Frederick County public schools, so the conference and championship meets were combined as one. However, five schools from Washington County joined the conference this year (making it resemble a bit more like the old MVAL Conference), and a conference championship separate from the county championships will be held this Friday at Boonsboro High School. Many of the teams and runners, including Urbana's Brin Strouse, had an opportunity to run on the course just last week at the Frank Keyser Invitational, and will try and improve on their times this week.
