This might be a first. Taylor Parker, a senior at Largo High School, went over 40 feet in the triple jump (40'1") and the shot put (42'2") in the same meet at the Screaming Eagles Invitational on Saturday. Both Maryland #1 ranked performances. Talk about an athlete!

Nearly two years after receiving grants, Largo, Forestville need to secure more funds Nearly two years after Largo and Forestville high schools received $180,000 grants from the Maryland General Assembly to resurface their dilapidated tracks, both schools are running out of time to use the funds. The money must be used by April, but the renovations have not started because the grants will only cover about half the cost.
