Swim meet and 70 minutes long run

Hi everyone! This is my running blog. Each of my days increased in time last week over the previous week so that combined - with the heat - caused me to run pretty slowly some days (I miss the easy mileage weeks already). My workout this week was hard, but there were these really cute little girls who ran with me on some of the uphill strides - even though they were wearing dresses - who made it way easier. On Friday, I went to camp in West Virginia! It was called Camp Swiftfoot and it was only for 3 hours but it was so much fun. It's run by Dr. Mark Cucuzzella. He is a fascinating doctor and marathoner who is an advocate of minimalist running. I re-learned so much. It is always good to get a refresher and fix up your form once in awhile and that is exactly what I got from the day. Saturday, I had my last regular season swim meet and it was a lot of fun, but I had to miss the second day of camp. I ran my long run in Shepherdstown during my sister's second swim meet of the day. I was lucky to get to run part of it on the C & O canal, but I felt bad so I ran super slow. I'd like to blame it on the heat, but I just ran poorly. Oh well... it was supposed to be easy, so clearly it's okay. That is it for now, talk to you next week :).
