No. 20: Century High School
Don't let the 5K times fool you, becase this is a very strong team returning for Century in 2016. With most of their championship-season meets run on hilly courses, the Century boys always seem to excel at the hilliest course of all - Hereford. Four returners come back having finished in the top 50 at last year's 2A State Championships, where they finished fourth overall. The team got even better during the track season when underclassmen Jacob Spera (9:57.67 3200), Theo Johnson (9:58.95 3200), Jacob Havins (4:41.34 1600) and Zack Fenton (10:22.54 3200) improved dramatically. All four of them will be back not only in 2016 but 2017 as well, and this Century team has a chance to contend for a state team title as early as this fall.
