While public school runners were gearing up for the state championships, private schools spent February 6th tearing up the Georgetown Prep track at the Private/Independent Schools Championship. One of the best races of the day was the matchup in the girls 300 between Stephanie Davis and Lauren Morgan, two of the best sprinters in the state last season. Davis won by a fraction of a second, and their times ended up as MD #2 and #3 times, respectively. Only Masai Russell clocked a faster time, and that was on a banked track at the Bishop Loughlin Games. If you didn't see the race live now is your chance!
