As a sophomore, Hackett ran a solid 36.59 300 last indoor season. However he truly found his stride in the spring as a hurdler, recording personal bests in the 110 (15.78) and 300 (38.94) meter hurdles. His second-place finish at the 2A State Championships in the 300 meter hurdles suggests that he could be an even bigger force this winter in both the hurdles and longer sprint (300, 500) events.
