Ken Nelson (Senior, High Point)

In his first indoor season Nelson dropped solid times of 36.39 (300) and 69.08 (500), but he truly broke out last spring. He finished sixth at New Balance Nationals in the Emerging Elite 200 with a MD #6 time of 21.80, and was also fourth in the 400 at the 4A State Championships. After building more strength this fall (as shown by an 18:40 5K personal best) Nelson enters the 2017 indoor season as one of the top potential mid-distance runners in the state.
