He carried his momentum from his breakout cross country season onto the track where he proved to be just as dominant as he was on the course. He finished a close second at the Montgomery Invitational before getting his revenge on Rohann Asfaw at the Montgomery County Championships, and went on to dominant 3A states, winning the 1600 and 3200. Lockett then sealed his case as the top two miler in the state by finishing fourth in the Emerging Elite section at New Balance Indoor Nationals.
