Thierry Siewe Yanga was unbeatable in the 800 as a junior, sweeping the county, regional and state titles before competing in the Emerging Elite division at New Balance Outdoor Nationals. This winter was looking like more of the same before an injury forced him to sit out the championship season. As he continues to get back into top shape, others in the classification have stepped up their game, including indoor state champion Chase Osborne and freshman phenom Garrett Suhr.
