Hereford Girls Climb Back On Top

It has been three years since Dulaney and Hereford weren't the top two girls teams at the Baltimore County Championships and this season was no different. Both squads put their top five girls among the top 15 finishers, and it was the Hereford girls defeating Dulaney by a mere six points just one year after falling to the Lions by one mere point. The two teams won't see each other again this season, as Hereford looks to defend their 2A state team title and Dulaney will try to place highly in the ultra-competitive 4A classification.

Dulaney Boys Extend Their Streak Of Dominance

Only two other runners in the boys race were able to break up Dulaney's top seven as the Lions captured their fifth consecutive Baltimore County team title. Sophomore Zak Audia also won the JV race in 16:40 and would have been the team's fifth finisher in the varsity race. Dulaney will have one more chance to tune up and finalize their varsity seven before their state championship rematch with Severna Park and a slew of competitive teams at Hereford on November 11th.

Towson Boys Showcase Young Depth

The Towson boys finished in sixth place in the varsity race, but it was their JV team that opened some eyes on Saturday. The Generals put most of their underclassmen in the JV race and six of them (including three freshmen) broke 18 minutes. While Dulaney remains the class of the county, the Towson boys have one of the brightest futures of any of the teams in the state, and certainly in the 3A classification.
