The DC Road Runners and Eastern Track League are holding their annual track championships tomorrow at Dunbar High School in Washington, D.C. The meet features all-comers miles for runners of all ages, as well as elite heats of the 800 and mile (1500 for women).
One of the biggest races to watch is the elite men's mile. Nobody has ever run a sub-four minute mile in the District of Columbia, but nine of the field's 15 athletes have run performances equivalent to a 4:00 or better mile.
The meet held is being held by the DC Road Runners and also functions as the final race for the Eastern Track League, which includes elite runners throughout the east coast.
