After ranking our top 50 teams before the season we will post updated top 25 rankings at the beginning of every week!
The showdown at the Seahawk Invitational shook up some of our rankings at the top. Even with Northern down one of their top returners, they would have been hard-pressed to top Howard and Severna Park, who look to be head and shoulders above the rest of the teams in the state to begin the 2019 season.
Four teams make huge leaps into our top 25. Flowers (second at Spiked Shoe - top Maryland team) and Good Counsel (first at Bullis) jumped from the back of the top 50. The Liberty girls won the small schools division at the Brunswick Invitational with the help of freshmen Julia and Izzy Lucas, and the Calvert girls made a strong statement at Seahawk behind cross-country newcomer Kirsten Prince.
