After a surprising state championship performance during the fall, Middletown's Erin McQuitty is also the first freshman girl to go under 11:30 this season which she did at the Howard County Winter Festival. Towson's Isabel Aldana (12:19.76) and Urbana's Ivy Coldren (12:29.66) are the only other girls in Maryland to have run under 12:30 prior to the holiday break.
