4A Central Girls 500 (Video): Three of the top distance runners in the state faced off in the 500 meter dash at the 4A Central regionals on Wednesday. Urbana's Ella Auderset pulled ahead at the end to beat out Flowers' Javon Watts and Wise's Jordan Mozie, and setting up what should be an excellent rematch at states.

4A Central Boys 500 (Video): The 500 was full of all kinds of drama at the 4A Central regionals. After Bowie's Brandon Nya beat Wise's Joshua Edmonds in the 300 meter dash, Edmonds returned the favor in the 500, beating out Nya by eight hundredths of a second and running the fastest time in the Armory this year.

3A East Boys 300 (Video): The closest race of regionals week came on Tuesday at the 3A East regionals. Long Reach's Djavan White and Huntingtown's Anthony Smith had a photo finish with White emerging the victor.

4A West Girls 55 Hurdles (Video): Paint Branch senior Kaya Rae Dunbar became the only girl in the state to run under 8.60 seconds at the Baltimore Armory when she clocked an 8.40 performance to win the 55 hurdles at the 4A West regionals.

2A West Girls 300: Frederick Douglass teammates Autumn Winston and Victoya Smith fought hard for the 300 meter title, and the senior Winston edged Smith by four hundredths of a second. The two racked up points all day as Smith also finished second in the 55 dash and Winston placed second in the 500 dash.
