Kiefer Bell Earns Distance Double At Genoa

In what was being called 'Ohio's biggest outdoor track meet of 2020' by meet director, Luke Hodulik, it was Kiefer Bell who stood out as the evening's top performer at Saturday's Genoa Area Comets Summer Fest, Part 2

Bell, representing Team Running 2 Win on this day, but a regular member of the Talawanda High School group, wound up taking 1st place finishes in both the 800 and 1600 contests.

Bell, who like most athletes, hasn't been on an official start line in several months, posted solid marks of 2:04.23 and 4:26.13 to outpace his opposition by a wide margin, particularly in the 1600, where he won by 11 seconds.

The rising junior owns a career best 800m time of 1:56.48, which he achieved this past indoor season and his resume is highlighted, in part, by his state title at the half-mile distance during the 2018 Ohio Middle School Championships
