Juliette Whittaker was one of three high school athletes in the 800m to line up at the U.S. Olympic trials. And the junior from Mount De Sales Academy (MD) made it through to the semi-final round -- at what would be the largest stage in any athlete's career.

After advancing through the first round, she just missed making the finals by 0.11 seconds. Whittaker ran a 2:01.30 to finish sixth in her heat and tenth overall in the semi-finals.

Over the week, she earned almost 63-percent of the NPOTW vote. A big congratulations goes out to Whittaker on her accomplishments this season and advancing to the semi-final round at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 800m.

Now let's move on to Week 1 of the Club season's outdoor National Performer of the Week presented by New Balance poll.

Vote for whom you think should win this week's national honor following this most recent week of action. Voting will end Friday, and we'll recognize the winner every Monday during the unveiling of the newest poll. Better yet, each boy and girl winner will win a pair of New Balance shoes

We are requesting winners (or their parents or coaches) from each week to email Cory Mull at cory.mull@flosports.tv and Olivia Ekpone at olivia.ekpone@flosports.tv to notify us of your contact.

Vote below in the poll and let us know your thoughts in the comments. For reference, check our Top 25 Outdoor Performances of the Week. You can also vote in our National Boys Performer of the Week poll.
