Hi,
everyone! My name is Alicia Anthony, and I am going to be the new state editor
for MileSplit Maryland!
Regarding my running experience, running has been a passion of mine for many years. I ran both cross country and track at Howard High School, and I recently graduated in 2020. I would consider myself a long-distance runner, but I always loved the occasional 800m race. Unfortunately, my final outdoor track season was cut short due to the pandemic. I no longer run competitively, but running is something that will always be a part of my life.
Currently, I am a sophomore at Towson University, where I major in mass communication and business administration. I am also on track to finishing my minor in Spanish. I feel that my educational background will aid me in my ability to successfully provide quality content for Maryland, and I cannot wait to apply what I have learned to this new position.
However, this is not my first time working with MileSplit MD. I have contributed as a photographer in the past, and I am glad to be back as part of the team once again! I am excited for the opportunity to showcase what Maryland has to offer, and I am looking forward to what the future holds.
