The 2026 MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championships came and went over the weekend, and athletes from across the state converged on Landover, Maryland, for the grand finale of the outdoor season.

At the MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championship, Ayoku swept the jumps, winning the long jump at 19-1.5, the triple jump at 40-6.25, and the high jump at 5-6.
The top throws double at the MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championship belonged to Mason, who won the shot put at 58-11 and the discus at 202-4, the only mark over 200 feet posted by any boy at the state meet.
The fastest 100m among all girls at the state championships belonged to Amauwa, who ran 11.78 to win the event and backed it with a 24.10 for runner-up in the 200m.
Both boys' sprint titles at the went to Venable, who ran 10.55 in the 100m and 21.28 in the 200m, the fastest marks in both events at the state meet.
One of the few underclassmen to win a state distance title this season, Philp took the 1600m at 5:04.95 and finished second in the 3200m at 10:44.31 at the MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championship.
Both hurdles titles at the MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championship went to Doss, who ran 14.02 in the 110m hurdles and 37.12 in the 300m hurdles to sweep the events.
The strongest sprint double among all underclassmen girls at this year's championship meet went to Flowers, who finished third in the 100m at 12.17 and second in the 200m at 24.79.
All three distance titles at the MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championship went to Rementelas, who ran 1:54.02 in the 800m, 4:17.50 in the 1600m, and 9:26.40 in the 3200m to sweep the events.
The fastest 800m among all girls at the belonged to Waters, whose 2:11.87 won the event outright.
The strongest distance double among all underclassmen boys at the MPSSAA Outdoor Track Championship went to Aitken, who finished second in the 1600m at 4:13.79 and third in the 3200m at 9:27.64.
