Kaylyn Christopher a junior from Preston High School out of Kingwood, placed 13th in the mile run at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships (NSIC) with a time of 5:06.86. Christopher enters outdoor season ready to defend her AAA State 1600m title. Sam Crosby a senior from Riverside High School of Belle placed 11th in the long jump with a leap of 21-11.00. Crosby also seems ready to defend his AAA State title in the long jump with his best jump of the indoor season. Competing at the Nike Indoor Championships (NIN), Maria Dalzot a senior from Morgantown High School placed 14th in the 2 mile with a time of 11:09.51. With this performance, Dalzot, the 2005 AAA 3200m champion, is ready for the outdoor season to begin as her 3200m conversion is 12 seconds faster than she ran last year at the State Championships.
