Heat 1
Jenkintown (PA): Jenkintown got out to an early lead and held off a late
thrust by Trenton. Jenkintown was very strong on the first and second
legs, maintaining a small lead over Trenton. However, Trenton's powerful
third leg brought them back into contention. Jenkintown's anchor leg ended
up being too strong for Trenton, and beat her by 5 hundreths of a second
(35.15 to 35.20). Jenkintown placed 4th overall.

Heat 3:
Manchester (VA):
Flying Doves TC (MD):
The Flying Doves (aka Western HS, MD) put on an impressive showing in the
third heat of the race. The Doves were in front within the first 20 meters
and never looked back. They increased their lead throughout the race, and
only hit the hurdles once. Manchester HS (VA) was in second most of the
race, but finished third when their anchor leg took a tumble. Theresa
Lewis of the Doves closed out with a monster anchor leg, finishing 3rd
overall in 33.80.

Huguenot (VA) took the lead after the fall and never relinquished it,
taking first in the heat. Hugenot's anchor leg powered through each
