Welcome to the Third Annual Grizzly Twilight Classic, to be held this year Saturday April 8, 2017. For planning purposes, please note that we will proceed next year with our original weekend of Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Location: 12301 Spotswood Furnace Rd., Fredericksburg, VA 22407

Facility: Eight lane all weather surface (" spikes only). Restrooms on site in field house.

Atmosphere: Under the lights. Music. Top competition. Fast times. We try to encourage a "big time" atmosphere to bring out the best in each athlete and help them to prepare for Championship season.

Entry Information: All entries will be done through Milestat.com
The deadline for entries will be April 5, 2017 at 11:59pm.

Entry/Payment: We understand that every team has different needs when it comes to entries for weekend invitationals. As such, we have provided two ways to enter our meet: 1.) Team entry fee and 2.) An individual entry fee. If you're looking to bring an entire team, you can use the team entry fee and receive a certain number of entries per event at a discounted rate. If you're only looking to bring a small number of athletes, you can use the individual entry fee to save money. The individual entry fee may also be used for teams that would like to enter additional athletes in an event over the amount of slots that were given.

Entry fee is $225 per school, OR $125 per gender and includes:
1 team entry per relay
4 individual entries in each field event
4 individual entries in each running event

You may enter individuals/relays or additional individuals/relays for:
$5 individual
$15 per relay

This is not a participation fee. All payments should be made by 04/01. Late checks will result in an additional fee of $50.00. If you should have questions in regards to payment, please email us.

Starting Heights & Standards:
High Jump: Boys - 5'6" being raised 2' to 6'4" and 1" thereafter; Girls - 4'6" being raised 2" to 5'4" and 1" thereafter

Pole Vault: Boys - 8'6" being raised 2' thereafter; Girls 6'0 being raised 2" thereafter

Minimum Standards: Long and Triple Jump / Shot and Discus

1st official jump/throw will be recorded thereafter athletes must meet the minimum standard.

Long Jump - Boys 18, Girls 156
Triple Jump - Boys 39, Girls 30
Shot Put - Boys 40', Girls 30'
Discus Boys 110', Girls 90'

Scoring: The first eight places in each event will score. The standard point distribution of 10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1 will count towards the overall team score.

Awards: Team Trophies will be given to the 1st and 2nd Girls and Boys teams. Awards will be given to all athletes who finish in the top 3 individual events and relays. Awards will be given at the podium.

Admission: $6.00 per person. Children 6 years and under and over 65 years of age, admitted free.

Concession: Concession stand will be open throughout the meet.

Meet Apparel: Meet apparel will be sold throughout the course of the day and evening.

Coach's Hospitality: Throughout the course of the meet, your entire coaching staff is invited to our coach's hospitality "All you can eat" tent where you will find snacks, lunch, dinner and dessert.

Tent City: Tents may be set up around the track but not in close proximity of the discus cage, long jump, triple jump or pole vault areas. If you should set a tent up in the stands please ensure that it is securely fastened.

Check-in: The Check-in tent is located near the start of the 100-meter dash. Running participants may check-in any time prior to their event. All athletes should report and receive their hip numbers. Field event participants should report to their field event at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

Warm Up Area: Athletes may warm up on trail or designated warm up areas adjacent to the discus area. Roots are marked in orange.

Be kind and help us to keep our school clean by placing all trash in the trash cans and not littering.
