Franklin sophomore Nyjari McNeil pulled off the double in 3A claiming the 500 and 800 meter titles after being a 500 champ as a freshmen. River Hill's Sydney Robinson had an impressive state meet debut in taking runner-up in the 3A girls 500 meter dash behind only Njyjari McNeil in a personal best time of 1:17.81. Andrew Forsyth of Severna Park has the opportunity to join his older brother Ryan as a Maryland high school state track champion. Forsyth, the 4A Central 3200 champ, will be in the mix of a strong 4A state field including Rohann Asfaw and Eric Walz.
