Ryan Lockett, Poolesville 1600 and 3200

Poolesville enjoyed its cup of coffee in the 3A classification during the past two years but will move back to 2A next year. That means Lockett won't have the chance to defend his 3A 1600 and 3200 state titles, and instead could possibly face a matchup with Westlake's Jay Hall, who ran the second-fastest 3200 behind Lockett at the state championships this season.
