She focused more on the 500 this season, but save for a narrow loss to open the season McNeil was her dominant self in the 800 this season. She ran a MD #3 2:17.24 to win the 3A state championships and likely would have run faster on an even bigger stage. Perhaps her best moment of the indoor season was her amazing anchor leg on the 4x400 relay to seal the team victory for Franklin at the state meet.
