2016 Winner: Jabari Bennett (Blake) 55'9.50
Nobody in 3A has been able to touch Bennett in the shot put since he transferred to Blake last winter. Still chasing the magical 60 foot mark after reaching 59'0.25 at the indoor state meet, it will be very hard to unseat the defending champion as long as he stays healthy throughout the spring. It is worth noting however that the third-farthest throw in the state belongs to a fellow 3A competitor (Northeast's Brent Boyer, at 55'4.50).
