Frye broke out this season as a sophomore at St. Charles, placing 12th in the triple jump at the 3A state championships. He also carried the momentum into the summer, jumping a personal best of 42'11.75 at the AAU Region 3 Championships in June. Frye came close to topping that mark this week and placed fifth in the 15-16 year old division with a leap of 42'9.50.
