The Syracuse cross country team competed in the NCAA Northeast Regionals this afternoon at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison Conn. The No. 14 men ran to a third place finish while the women finished in sixth. Senior Griff Graves was the top-SU finisher, finishing in 6th place overall with a time of 30: 27.6. Senior Sarah Pagano ran to a 13th place finish with a time of 20:19.8.
On the men's side, freshman Martin Hehir ran to a 10th place finish with a time of 30:31.9. Joseph Whelan ran to a 14th place finish with a time of 30:35.6. Next was sophomore Ryan Urie (30:55.7), sophomore Andrew Palmer (30:56.5) and junior Robert Molke (30:28.3) in 21st through 23rd place, respectively. Sophomore Reed Kamyszek's time of 31:10.9 was good for 33rd place.
Following Pagano was freshman Katie Fleischer in 31st place with a time of 20:50.3. Meredith Speakman came in 37th after recording a time of 20:53.9. In 39th place was Jessie Peterson, who ran a time of 20:57.3. Alexandra Clinton finished in 47th after finishing with a time of 21:05. Brianna Nerud came in 58th place with a time of 21:19.5. Erin Cawley's time of 21:30.4 was good for 72nd place.
