The morning session proved to be hard to follow, but there were still some outstanding performances in the afternoon race. Oakland Mills senior Joey Navarro continued his winning ways, crossing the line in 16:21.80. Overall five boys broke the 17 minute mark in the afternoon race.

Navarro's performance was key for the Oakland Mills boys: the Scorpions won the afternoon session by scoring a mere 39 points.

North Point's Rachel Nueslein won her first race of the season in the girls afternoon session, clocking a 19:32.80 performance and winning by 25 seconds. Wilde Lake freshman Emma Orloff finished second in 19:57.30 and was the only other girl to break the 20 minute barrier in the afternoon session.

The girls afternoon team race seemed wide open going into the meet, but the Rising Sun girls left no doubt about the team champions. Their 1:56 1-5 split was one of the lowest among all the teams. A mere 21 points separated the 2-7 teams.
