One of the most well-rounded track athletes in the state, Douglass-PG's Kollin Smith finished second at last year's 2A indoor state championships in the 55 hurdles. The winner, Westlake's Jalen Elliott, finished just one-hundredth of a second away from the 7.48 2A state record. Smith, with his personal best of 7.57, could be the next 2A hurdler to make an attempt at the state meet record that has stood now for over 15 years.
