Boys 1600: Lockett Goes 4:28 In First Race Of The Winter
The first track race after months of slower, longer training can be difficult to adjust to, but you couldn't tell by watching Poolesville's Ryan Lockett on Thursday. After sitting in the chase pack through the first 800 meters, Lockett made a decisive move and never looked back, negative splitting a 4:28 1600 that fell just a second short of a the meet record. Both Edward Belsoi and Jimmy Vazzana finished at 4:31.
