Boys 1600m Run: McGorty To Go After His Own Meet Record
Brandon McGorty of Chantilly (VA) is one of the nation's top returning middle distance runners and he will be kicking off his final season of high school indoor track in the 1600 meter run at the =PR= Holiday Invite. Last year in this meet, McGorty time trialed a 4:19 solo effort to break the meet record. He will be in a similar position this year as his PR of 4:07 is 20 seconds faster than the next best seed in Zachary Lindsay of West Potomac.
