Bad Weather At Home Doesn't Stop Maryland From Another Huge Weekend!

Lauren Morgan And The Seton Girls Tear Up PSU

The Elizabeth Seton weren't the only girls to make the journey up to State College on Saturday for the Kevin Dare High School Invitational, but they returned home with the most hardware. Senior Lauren Morgan has still yet to run an individual race in the state of Maryland this season but that hasn't stopped her from making her mark on the state leaderboard.

Morgan won the 200 on Saturday at 24.74, which would have been a MD #4 time in the event - had she not already run faster this year. Morgan currently sits at #2 in the state in the 200 and #3 in the 55 meter dash. The Seton girls also picked up another win in the 4x200, an event which the rank second in the state in so far this season.

Morgan wasn't the only Seton girl who turned in a great performance on Saturday. Senior Jacqueline Simmons won the long jump in 18'9.75 which would have been a new MD #1, had she not already held the top spot with her 18'11 effort at the Ocean Breeze Holiday Festival. Simmons also finished third in the 200 at 25.25.
