Last year's 3A indoor state champion in the high jump, Yancey cleared 5'2 earlier this month for just the fourth time in her career. She is the first girl since the 2012-13 indoor season to achieve the feat in Howard County, and pegs her as the favorite in the event heading into Tuesday.
