The junior entered the indoor season with a shot put personal best of 43'1.75, which he bested in his first attempt early in December. Lachir, however, didn't stop there; after a 45-foot effort at the Boonsboro Warrior Invitational, he exploded at the Frederick County Championships, taking home the title with a new personal best of 50'6.75. Out of the six boys who have cleared 50 feet in the event this season, four (including Lachir) are from the 3A classification.
