The Westlake boys are out to defend their 2A indoor title, and if they are successful, the relays will be an important reason why. No public school has beaten the Westlake boys in the 4x200 relay so far this season and they enter the meet not just as favorites to win the event, but possibly break Gwynn Park's state meet record. Their season best of 1:30.45 at the Virginia Showcase is nearly a second faster than the current record, and they have also gone under 1:32 at multiple meets at the Sportsplex this season.
