Hereford senior Mike Nash has yet to lose to a Maryland thrower in the shot put so far this season and will be chasing his third 2A state title in the event at next week's championship. His recent indoor personal best throw of 57'2 at the 2A Central Regionals is right around the current state meet record, so he will need to repeat that performance if he wants to break one of the oldest indoor state meet records (set over 40 years ago).
