2A Girls 1600 & 3200 - Hayley Jackson (Patuxent) 4:51.21 & 10:21.73
Patuxent senior Hayley Jackson solidified her reputation as one of the best the state has ever seen over the weekend by setting new 2A state meet records in the 3200 and 1600. Her 10:21.73 performance in the 3200 was only six seconds off the overall state meet record, as was her 4:51.21 1600; her 3200 performance was also the second-fastest ever at the state meet. She would come back to win the 800 to complete one of the most impressive triples in the history of the state meet. An honorable mention to Julien Webster whose performances of 4:57.79 and 10:37.35 would have been good enough to dominate in nearly any other year.
