2A Girls Long Jump - Sydney Williams (Henry E. Lackey) 19'1
Williams came into the state meet as the favorite in the 100, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles, and would win all three of them. But it was her fourth victory that was perhaps the most impressive: a 19'1 long jump, making her the first girl in the history of the 2A state meet to jump longer than 19 feet. Williams' 40 points over the weekend were a huge factor in Lackey's dominant overall team performance.
